This event was held to send off the international students who will be returning to their home countries at the end of the spring semester of 2015, and those who will be studying abroad in the fall. This was the first time that a GJSSC event was held in a hall, and it was a very moving event that was typical of a Japanese graduation ceremony! First, the GJSSC presented the diplomas to the international students who will be returning to their home countries at the end of the spring semester. Next, the speeches were the highlight of the farewell party. Everyone's speeches were wonderful, and I'm sure there were many committee members who thought it was a good thing that they held the farewell party. (/_;) After the speeches, the international students and Japanese students formed groups and played bingo♪ The group that got bingo was given Meijiro goods as a present! I'm glad they seemed to be happy ( *´艸`) Next was a slide show of memories, followed by video messages from each teacher, and finally, we took a commemorative photo together to close the event. This was the last big event of the GJSSC spring semester. Finally, we would like to thank everyone who participated and helped out!

We held a Halloween party at the Nakano Campus cafeteria! This time, we co-hosted it with Campus Mates, and more people from other departments participated. Thank you to Campus Mates! We saw people eating, chatting, and dancing. And in the second half of the party, we held our traditional costume contest! This time, unlike last year,
Prizes were divided into four categories: "Cool," "Cute," "Funny," and "Scary," and participants voted using designated candies to determine the winners in each category!
It was a very lively party. Looking forward to next year's party too ( ´ ▽ ` )
Welcome Party 4/24/2015

On the day, we welcomed over 150 participants (including committee members), including over 60 international students! The party started with heartfelt speeches by the dean, the chairperson of the committee, and a representative of senior international students, encouraging not only new international students but also freshmen and upperclassmen to start the new semester with renewed enthusiasm. Through games and discussions, students made new friends with each other, and the party ended with great success until the very end, making it a very meaningful event! We, the committee members, will do our best to support the international students who participated in the welcome party, and those who unfortunately could not attend this time, so that they can all enjoy their student life at Meiji University together! In addition, many new students participated this time, and we think it was a good opportunity to understand the atmosphere of the School of Global Japanese Studies.
Please join us at our upcoming events!

The first Christmas party held by GJSSC!
The event was a great success, with 20 participants including international students and the general public.
After each group got to know each other through meals and conversation, they enjoyed playing various games from around the world, including Apples to Apples and Uno, with the dealers at the helm.
Laughter and frustrated voices could be heard all around the venue, and the atmosphere was very friendly and good (*^^*) The great thing about games is that they can be enjoyed together regardless of language or culture. This time, it seems that they were particular about the planning stage. The committee members were divided into groups of 5-6 people, and made presentations in the form of a presentation, and the group that received the highest evaluation from everyone realized their plan.

A total of 65 people participated in this event, which was the first opportunity for exchange with new international students who have come to Meiji University Nakano Campus this fall! !(^^)!The welcome party began with a speech by Professor Masashi Suzuki and a welcome message from the committee chair. In the first half, participants played a group game that also served as a self-introduction, and then played games such as the human puzzle ring and a game using origami, which is also a part of Japanese culture. In the second half, there was a social gathering over snacks, followed by a BINGO game, and finally, a photo was taken with all the participants, and the welcome party came to a close. We are very happy that so many people participated. Thank you very much to everyone who participated and helped out!
