Study Abroad Report
On May 30th and June 13th, we held online events where students who participated in short-term and long-term study abroad programs, respectively, could interact with committee members. Students who have studied abroad, done internships, or volunteered in various countries from Europe to Asia became speakers and shared their experiences and memories from their stay!

TOEFL & Study Abroad Consultation Cafe
On October 1st, we held an event for first-year students to discuss TOEFL and studying abroad! We received many questions about TOEFL, which is necessary for studying abroad and class placement the following year, as well as long-term study abroad and internships. We understand that many students may be worried about studying abroad due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we hope we were able to alleviate some of that anxiety! We have posted answers to additional questions on Instagram and Twitter. Be sure to check it out!

SHRs
In response to the lack of opportunities for interaction between international students and Japanese students due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we held SHRs (Sustainable Human Relationship) on December 4th! At this event, participants were divided into three talk themes: travel, music, and movies, and shared various information, such as recommended movies, famous music from their home countries, and food they would like to try when traveling. Some participants said that they had common hobbies, and we hope that their relationships will continue in the future.

ZOOM Networking Event
We held a social gathering on July 4th and 5th using Zoom. Due to the impact of COVID-19, we were unable to hold face-to-face events on campus, but we split into breakout rooms to introduce ourselves and talk about our hobbies!

Welcome Party
The Welcome Party is a gathering to welcome new international students studying at Meiji University. This year, some international students were unable to come to Japan due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they were still able to enjoy interacting online by playing games such as World Heritage sites, flag quizzes, and word werewolf!

VR Exchange Event
On December 18th, we held a social gathering to talk about hobbies in a VR space. It was our first attempt at using VR, but we hope everyone enjoyed the unique VR experience, which was different from Zoom! Once the COVID-19 pandemic is over, we'd love to take a stroll around Nakano, the town of subculture!

Committee Activities in 2020
This year, we did not have any face-to-face activities, but all activities were done online. At the regular meetings, we exchanged opinions using breakout rooms and Google spreadsheets. After the regular meetings, we also had a social gathering for committee members, and the first-year students are gradually getting used to committee activities!
