Course consultation session
On April 9, 12, and 14, we held course consultation sessions for new students in the School of Global Japanese Studies. Before the course registration period, second- and third-year committee members answered questions about how to organize your timetable and the content of classes you are interested in. Participants said things like, "I was worried about whether I could organize my classes because there were no seniors from my department, so it was good to have someone confirm it for me," and "It was great to hear various stories about not only classes but also school and life in Japan."☺

New Student Information Session

We held new student information sessions on April 13th, 15th, and 22nd! Many first and second year students came to the session, where we explained the activities and had the opportunity to talk with second and third year committee members. We also held a second recruitment information session on May 14th and 21st, where students had the opportunity to experience event planning. As a result, a total of 15 first and second year students became new GJSSC members! From now on, the 38 of us will be having fun with our activities ☺ We hope you will look forward to future GJSSC activities.

Welcome Party

We held a Welcome Party on April 23rd. This time, we took measures against the spread of infection and held a hybrid event for the first time, combining in-person and Zoom with a limited number of people! Participants split into groups and shared their hobbies and interests, created characters that combined them, and talked about topics randomly selected from 50 themes. We were also able to connect with international students who have not yet come to Japan through Zoom, and it was a very fulfilling time! Thank you to everyone who participated!

Study Abroad Events
On June 9th, we held an event entitled "Self-Study Event" where participants could hear directly from people who have studied abroad. We had people who have studied abroad in various countries such as the US and Indonesia talk about their experiences there! We also had people who have studied abroad online speak, so we think we were able to hear a wide range of stories! After the event, there was lively free talk and other activities, which allowed participants to deepen their relationships with each other. We hope that through this event, you were able to get a sense of what studying abroad is like and find your own way of studying abroad 🌎
Office Hour Events
We held an Office Hour Event on June 18th! This time, we planned an event for students who were nervous about actually going to Office Hour, so that they could casually and enjoyably interact in English! Not only students from the School of Global Japanese Studies, but also students from other faculties and ET (English Track) participated in the event, and we think it was a valuable experience for all the participants!

Farewell Party
We held a Farewell Party on July 9th! This time, like the Welcome Party, it was held in a hybrid format. I think it was a good opportunity to interact with many people you met for the first time through games like Word Werewolf and free talk. In addition, this time we set up a PC on each table so that online participants could interact with those who attended in person! We hope you enjoyed interacting with international students living overseas 😆
